Family Home Evening - The Sacrament

Tonight for Family Home Evening we did a lesson on the Sacrament. I took the lesson from this book.

We sang The Sacrament which is #72 in the Children's song book. Then Brandon gave us our opening prayer. We then asked for family business and then Brandon read us our scripture which was D&C 20:77&79. Which is the Sacrament Prayer. Then I gave our lesson. For our activity we made Sacrament books. This is them before we put them together.
And this is all of them once they are done.
Then we had our closing song which was Before I Take the Sacrament #73 A in the Children's Songbook. Then Enid gave us our closing prayer. Then we had cookies and pudding cups for our treat and watched bolt as a family.

Family Home Evening - Learning to Pray

Today for Family Home Evening we sang "I have Two Little Hands" #272 in the Children's Songbook. Then Brandon did our opening prayer. Then I asked everyone to fold thier arms, close thier eyes and to bow thier heads. I asked them about times they need to be reverent and what that means.




Then we had a coloring activity about prayer and different times we say prayers and we discussed each of the pictures

Brandon read D&C 19:38 while the kids colored. Then I hung up a prayer train which had the parts of the prayer and i hung it on thier wall for them to see.

For our closing song we sang "A Prayer Song" which is #22 in the Children's Songbook. Enid did our closing prayer! She needed a little help but she did really good!
This is the first family home evening we've really done we did one where we watched the Testaments but to be honest I don't know how much they got out of it.
